This is certainly a very different shifter story.

Ariane is a traveler, to communicate in her world Someone has to travel the great distances. To do that the swim with a Sea dragon or fly on mammoth eagles. It is time for Ari's sea dragon to retire,  so they are on their final journey together.  They come under attack from the sky, and dive deep to escape.
Colin is a shape Shifter living in present day Scotland.  He and his brothers are guardians of the rift. This is a place that links their world to another.  When Colin feels that something has come through the rift he must investigate. 

This is the second book in the series but reads easily alone.

I don't want to giveaway more of the storyline because this is such an unusual book. A real fantasy, with drama, danger and some lovely sexy romance. The sea dragons are intriguing.  I want to read much more from this series.
