★★★★★
Luc Dodd left town nine years ago, when his best friend got married. That was totally his fault because he had never told her how he felt about her. Now he was home and working for her family.  It torments him to see how much she has changed, They are Both very different people now.
Meghan Montgomery is slowly coming to terms with her life now. Her marriage is over, she is living in a small rented house,  working too many hours, and her son is unhappy.  She knows that it's all her fault. Her husband told her often enough. Her family keep trying to help, but she needs to find herself a backbone to keep her children happy.
This is quite an emotional story, about how even in the midst of lots of loving family, it's still possible to be lonely.  Our hero is a sensitive and loving man who is prepared to lay his heart on the line. Our heroine is an embattled woman who has been the victim of a cruel and selfish man.
This is part of a series, but could easily be read on it's own.  It's very easy to love this Montgomery family.

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born.

Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon
