Jake (An Immortals Of New Orleans Novel) by Kym Grosso. ARC Review.

Synopsis
Rise to Alpha
With Alpha blood coursing through his veins, charismatic wolf Jake Louvière, can no longer deny his true nature. As his beast demands his rightful place within Acadian Wolves, he’s forced to choose between killing his Alpha or leaving New Orleans forever. When a mysterious woman trespasses into the bayou, Jake is instinctively wary of the creature that is not wolf. Inexplicably drawn to her, he attempts to resist her magic as it weaves a seductive spell. As quickly as she appears, the dangerous beauty is kidnapped by a powerful New York vampire, and Jake swears retribution against an old adversary. For centuries, Kai Beckett concealed her true identity from those who would steal her ancient powers. Risking everything to save her sister, she searches for the Alpha who’d left San Diego to return to his Cajun roots. Jake, a mate worthy of her spirit, seeks to tame her wild nature but she is not one to easily submit. As Kai surrenders to her attraction to the Alpha, she embraces her darkest fantasies. From New Orleans to Southern California, Jake and Kai are surrounded by intrigue and danger. Learning to trust each other, they fight lethal enemies and the irresistible connection binding them together. As they spiral into an erotic adventure, will Jake acknowledge Kai as his mate? With a nefarious enemy seeking to capture her, will Jake rise to Alpha, saving both Kai and his pack?
Warning: This book contains several erotic love scenes, including m/f/m ménage and is intended for adult readers only.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Jake Louviere thought he had settled back into his home pack life,  after he put a new alpha in his place over the Anzober wolves.  However his inner wolf has other ideas and insists he must be Alpha. The very idea of challenging for control of the Acadian wolves is something his human self wants no part of.
The appearance of a strange female on his doorstep starts a whole new adventure and many battles for him to face.  She may be his answer or his ending.
Dr Kai Beckett has hidden herself from the rest of the supernatural community for most of her long life. She is a very special being.  Now her sister has been kidnapped Kai is willing to sacrifice anything to save her.  Unfortunately for her the very price she is asked to pay is beyond her control.  If she cannot control her own body how can she allow an evil being that power.
There is one other character that plays a very big part in this story but I will not spoil it by telling you who.
This is a fantastic story that is so HOT it nearly melted my kindle.  It's still steaming.  Although this is part of a series you can easily read it as a stand alone.  But be warned once you start this series you will get addicted and have to read them all. I have, and trust me,  they are all great, and all very different.  All the characters have such great personalities.  Sometimes they even change from being bad guys in one story to good guys in another.  Like the one here who must be the hero in the next book.  I hope.
